Privacy Policy

Kynectia - Privacy Policy Last updated: May 5, 2026 1. Introduction Kynectia is built on the belief that real connections happen offline - between real people, in real spaces, with real intent. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Kynectia app, how we use it, how we protect it, and what rights you have over it. We collect only what we need to make the platform work well and safely. We do not sell your personal data. 2. Information We Collect Information you give us directly: Your name, email address, and profile photo when you sign in with Google. Your phone number when you verify your account. Social media profile links you provide for host verification. Any content you post including Signal descriptions, profile bio, and niche or interest tags you select. Information collected automatically: Your city-level location when you use the App, to show you relevant Signals in your area. Device information including device type, operating system, and app version. Usage data such as Signals you view, join, or create, and features you interact with. Payment information: If you pay for or receive payment for a monetised Signal, transaction details are processed through UPI or third-party payment infrastructure. Kynectia does not store full payment credentials. Transaction records are maintained for legal and accounting compliance. 3. How We Use Your Information We use the information we collect to show you Signals relevant to your city and interests, verify host identity to maintain platform trust and safety, process payments for monetised Signals, send you notifications about Signals you've joined or hosted, improve the platform based on how people use it, detect and prevent misuse, fraud, or harmful behavior, and comply with applicable legal obligations including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. We do not use your data to serve third-party advertisements. 4. Location Data Kynectia uses city-level location to surface Signals near you. We do not track your precise real-time GPS location continuously. Location is used only to determine which city's Signals to show you and is not shared with other users or third parties beyond what is necessary to operate the feature. 5. Who We Share Your Information With We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform - such as cloud hosting, analytics, and payment infrastructure - under strict data processing agreements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority. In the event of a merger or acquisition, data may be transferred as part of that transaction with appropriate notice to users. Your profile information - name, photo, bio, and niche tags - is visible to other Kynectia users. Your phone number and social media links used for verification are not displayed publicly. 6. Signal Visibility All Signals you post are visible to users in your city. Your name and profile are visible to people who view or RSVP to your Signal. If you join a Signal as an attendee, your name and profile are visible to the host and, once approved, to other confirmed attendees. 7. Respect for User Privacy Kynectia is committed to creating an environment where every user's personal information, identity, and boundaries are respected - both on and off the platform. We do not share your personal contact details, phone number, or social media verification links with other users. We do not enable other users to export, download, or bulk-access any personal information about you. Any personal information shared by you within a Signal context - verbally or otherwise - is shared at your own discretion. Kynectia is not responsible for how other users handle information shared during in-person Signals. We strongly encourage all users to share only what they are comfortable with, to report any user who uses their personal information inappropriately, and to contact us at reachus@kynectia.com if they feel their privacy has been violated by another user on the platform. Reports of privacy violations between users are taken seriously and may result in account suspension or termination of the offending user. 8. Data Security We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and to notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account at reachus@kynectia.com. 9. Data Retention We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes. Signal content you posted may be retained in anonymized form for platform analytics. 10. Your Rights Under applicable Indian law including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct any inaccurate information, request deletion of your data, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and nominate a person to exercise your data rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at reachus@kynectia.com. We will respond within 30 days. 11. Children's Privacy Kynectia is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will terminate it and delete the associated data promptly. If you believe a minor is using the platform, please notify us at reachus@kynectia.com. 12. Third-Party Links and Services Kynectia may contain links to third-party platforms such as social media profiles linked by hosts. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those platforms and encourage you to review their policies independently. 13. Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform evolves. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App or via email. Continued use of Kynectia after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy. 14.
